About the Earlobe Repair Surgery
Piercing an earlobe or wearing long, heavy earrings can cause tearing, stretching or scarring that can affect the appearance of your skin. The only safe and effective way to repair a damaged or split earlobe is to opt for cosmetic surgery.
Earlobe repair surgery usually lasts between 1 or 2 hours depending on the nature of the wound and is performed using local anesthesia. The wound is then closed with stitches and covered with a bandage. A simple repair can restore the look of your earlobes, allowing you to show your ears and wear earrings again.

After Your Surgery
It is possible for a patient to feel a slight numbness in the operated area for about an hour or two after the procedure. In that case, the doctor will prescribe painkillers as needed and give an antibiotic ointment that should be gently applied to the operated area. There are no dietary restrictions after surgery, but it is recommended to increase your vitamin C intake.
It is important to ensure that the dressing does not get wet when you shower. We recommend covering the dressing if you want to wash your hair.
